Billboard: Korean Balladeer Park Hyo Shin Returns With a ‘Goodbye’

South Korean singer Park Hyo Shin made a sentimental return on Monday (May 6) with the release of his new song “Goodbye.”

The sort of sweeping, stirring ballad that Park has built his career on, “Goodbye” is the singer’s first solo release of 2019. The track is part of Park’s LOVERS 2019 campaign, which challenges liseners to feel more while commemorating Park’s 20th year in the music indusry.
The single, which expressively relays the emotions of a person getting ready to say “Goodbye,” was reportedly co-composed by Park with Jung Jae Il and lyricist Kim Yi Na, with a 50-person orchestra providing the instrumental accompaniment.

“Goodbye” was released alongside a sentimental music video that features Park singing the tune while interspersing scenes of people from across the globe, as if they’re all reflecting on the nature of the song, preparing to say a bittersweet farewell to a relationship that has come to an end.
Earlier this year, Park released “The Wind is Blowing” with jazz singer Park Seung Yeon.
